Star of wonder, star of night, star with royal beauty bright...
Every year First Presbyterian Church of Birmingham offers paper stars with a different word on each one for people to pick up and take home. Participants are encouraged to place it in a location they will see every day and use the opportunity to consider how God’s Spirit is moving and working in their life regarding this special word. This is an intentional practice of paying attention and noticing God’s guiding action in our lives.
People are invited to take one for each member of their household, and after each ponders their word, share its meaning in their life with others around them.
Just as the magi followed the light of that special star, so may we pay attention to the light of Christ still shining in and around us, guiding and leading us as we move and grow.
